These images of floating buildings courtesy of John C. Atkeson. John used Ray Dream 5 to create these fantastic images. In the second and third images, the building hovers above a patch of exposed scrith on the Ringworld surface. In the last image, Mark Woolrich has combined John's 3d image with his own Ringworld diagram to produce a suitable backdrop.
Ringworld images created by freelance artist Jerry Potts who has his own website, Pott's Pics.  A variation of this image was used to illustrate Larry's works in the "Astronomy in Science Fiction" article from Astronomy Now's May 2001 edition.
